HKC Security has released version 1.0.13 of its SecureComm2 app, introducing a range of enhancements designed to improve the speed, reliability, and usability of its connected security experience.
The latest release focuses on making everyday interactions with a HKC security system smoother, giving users quicker access to live Video Doorbell footage, more informative notifications, and overall improved app performance.
The app has had a full rewrite of the Android and iOS versions, and it introduces improvements across several key areas. This includes being able to respond to someone at the door and enhanced activity reporting in the technical zone, making it easier for users to access relevant information and stay connected.
A central feature of the update is faster access to the HKC Video Doorbell livestream, allowing users to go directly to the live camera feed by tapping a recent doorbell ring notification. This provides a quicker route from notification to live view, helping users see who is at the door sooner and respond to visitors more promptly.
The Video Doorbell experience has also been upgraded through improvements to streaming reliability and the synchronisation of doorbell settings across devices. Alongside this, Technical Zone notifications now include the description assigned to the relevant zone type, helping users better understand the events being reported by the system.
Custom notification sound functionality has also been improved, helping alerts work as intended. Combined with wider stability and performance enhancements, these changes contribute to a more reliable and straightforward app experience across everyday use.
