If you have spent hours in Grand Theft Auto V tearing around Los Santos and feel like you have done it all, there is a whole side of the map you have probably barely touched: the ocean, and it becomes a lot more interesting once you start the submarine parts quest, especially if you already have a boosted character from something like GTA 5 Modded Accounts, because then you can just focus on exploring instead of grinding cash.

    Getting The Quest Going
The game does not throw this mission at you right away, and you cannot just jump into the sea and expect it to pop up, so you first need to push the story far enough to finish “The Merryweather Heist,” then head up the coast to Paleto Cove and look for the Sonar Collections Dock, which costs $250,000, and while any of the three protagonists can buy it, most players grab it, save, then switch over to Michael because he is the one who gets the “Death at Sea” Strangers and Freaks mission where Abigail shows up and starts talking about her dead husband and the mysterious wreckage scattered off the coast.

Meeting Abigail And Getting Your Gear
Once you have that first awkward chat with Abigail, the whole thing opens up: you get a Dinghy sitting at the dock, it has sonar built in, and Michael gets access to scuba gear so you are not constantly worrying about drowning halfway through a dive, and from there the pace of the game changes, you are checking your phone for the Trackify app, lining up the sonar ping with the radar on screen, nudging the boat around the blips until you are close enough, then dropping into the water when the signal looks right.

    Hunting For Submarine Parts
There are 30 metallic fragments out there, and the game does not make a huge fuss about them, which is kind of the charm, some pieces are in really shallow water where you can see them from the surface, others sit way down on the seabed, wedged into rocks or half buried in sand, and you quickly realise you cannot just rely on the radar, you are scanning the darker patches, swimming through bits of coral and wrecked metal, sometimes circling the same area a couple of times because you missed a tiny glint on the first pass.

    Why It Is Worth Finishing
It takes a bit of patience to clear all 30 parts, and the moment to moment action is not as loud as a big heist or a police chase, but that is exactly why a lot of players end up liking it, you spend real time with the underwater world, hear nothing but the regulator and the dull sonar ping, and you watch Michael slowly piece together what really happened to Abigail’s husband, and if you already have the money sorted from using something like GTA 5 Modded Accounts for sale, it becomes this laid back, story driven side trip that makes the map feel bigger and a bit stranger.
