MAX6MUM Security

With burglaries peaking around this period, it is an ideal time to make sure all of the access points of your home are as secure as possible.  This includes having the most secure door hardware, from locks and cylinders to additional security features on both doors and windows.

MAX6MUM Security products are designed to secure your home at an affordable price with easy to fit products, making them an essential feature for your overall home security.

The high security front door handles are made with extreme security in mind. Kitemarked at 2* they come with a built in cylinder guard for extra protection from thieves and vandals. The handle protects the lock from being breached by common methods such as lock snapping. Thieves can break a lock at its weakest point using plyers, usually breaking the central screw point; but the handle protects the cylinder so it cannot be grabbed, or drilled. By combining a 2* security door handle with one of the 1* cylinders, you will find you have the ultimate protection from burglars, with the highest grading of security.

The anti-vandal letter plate is the definitive letter plate if you’re concerned with home security. It will ensure your post is secure, and in turn the safety of your identity. It will also prevent burglaries by making it extremely difficult for anyone to put their hand or a hook through the letter box.

The letter plate includes blind bolts which make it nearly impossible to remove from the outside. Its flaps can open to 180 degrees as oppose to the market standard 90, meaning they are less likely to snap and with their ultra-flexible springs, it will last even after being opened time after time.

These fantastic letter boxes, which come in a range of finishes, are the only ones on the market with outward facing brushes. They act as a visual deterrent from thieves and make it a lot harder for thugs to get unwanted or dangerous items such as lit fireworks into your home.

MAX6MUM Security also has a range of window and front door security items, from sash jammers for added window security, to door chains and guards.

Taking even the smallest precautions can make the biggest difference in protecting your home. By using as many deterrents as possible, you can slow down an intruder enough that eventually they give up. Or can buy enough time for an onlooker or yourself to notice and call the police. For example by adding extra strong chains and door guards, if a burglar does break a lock they have another obstacle to get through.

If you don’t have the means and budget to upgrade your locks and cylinders, MAX6 even offer smart security solutions such as the fast and effective pickbuster, which is an affordable way of adding extra security from lock bumping. Just squeeze some of this satchel of solution into your lock and allow it to set for 4-5 hours for up to 2 years of added protection to your lock – it couldn’t be simpler.

Anti-snap, Anti-drill, Anti-pick, Anti-burglar!

But what exactly is so special about these products? It is not always enough to have locked your door; intruders are becoming smart with their methods of breaking and entering. Luckily for you MAX6MUM security products are smart with their anti-burglar features.

Lock bumping is one the worst ways in which a lock can be breached, as it leaves no trace of forced entry, and therefore means insurance companies won’t pay out. It involves a key being ‘bumped’ into a lock and in turn causing the pins in the cylinder to bounce up and down, tricking them into opening.

Picking is another entry gaining method and is still one of the most common forms of lock breaching. Yes this does take a great deal of skill; however it is not impossible and still needs safeguarding against. We use 3 anti-pick pins on each side of the lock to prevent picking.

Another technique used by thieves is drilling, but by using anti-drill pins on either side of the door lock, this makes drilling into a lock almost impossible.

Lock snapping accounts for around 27% of all burglaries. When the cylinder overhangs by 2mm or more, which is common in budget locks, they can easily be snapped. Our MAX6MUM Security cylinders have sacrificial cut lines, which break instead of the central screw hole. Keeping the lock secure and you able to lock and unlock it until it can be replaced.
