Key note speaker Neil Vann, Market Region Manager for ASSA ABLOY UK , talks about changes and trends in the market with particular emphasis around the move from mechanical to digital and Elmech products and how locksmiths capitalise on that.
Abloy UK – Mini Foundations Course
Understanding the NEW standards particularly with respect to the ‘Construction Products Directive’. Covering all hardware fitted to Fire and / or Escape doors. The course lecturer is retained by BSI and CEN as the UK’s Electric Locking Technical Expert. The course explains the correct specification of all door hardware from hinges to locks. The conclusion will provide details for 6 door types covering virtually all applications allowing the Locksmith to confident that they have provided for Safety in the event of Fire and for Escape, whilst providing a secure specification for their customers.

Hickleys – Unlocking the key success
Hickleys, the vehicle key programming specialist, are explaining the opportunities in key programming. The ability to copy or program vehicle keys and remotes adds additional business, locksmiths, security companies and key cutters. The presentation will explain the equipment required and the costs, the methods used and the technical backup available and reviews the typical charge out rates and the payback scenarios achievable. Using the MVPPro or Zed-FULL key programming and cloning diagnostic testers, payback scenarios of as little as 7 months (or 30 key programs) can easily be achieved. Keyprint – Transponder Cloning and Programming
The training course will be seminar based with some hands on for each student. The course will focus on transponder cloning including the new ID48 solutions and transponder key programming. We will be using the following equipment during the training course: Silca RW4 plus and the AVDI. In addition, those students attending the class wanting more practice can get more time by visiting our stand. We will have a dedicated area for practicing.
